In Pottstown, the Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority (PDIDA) is concerned with both the historical fabric of its downtown community while seeking economic growth opportunities to make Pottstown an attractive place for both residents and visitors.
The Pottstown Area Industrial Development (PAID) focus on commercial and industrial development in the Pottstown region. Working with both the Borough of Pottstown and private economic development organizations, Pottstown’s growth has inspired other communities in the area to work toward economic development.
In Boyertown, Berks County, Building a Better Boyertown rallies businesses, community organizations, municipal officers, and residents in a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the economic future of this community.

The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce provides the catalyst needed to attract and retain businesses and professionals in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The Chamber describes its mission as “to do whatever is necessary to keep the area’s economic condition at a level where business will risk their resources here in hope of making a profit.”
The Chamber works closely with its members to leverage the drive, goals, funds, and services to sustain the Chamber’s operations. Montgomery County Industrial Development Authority
The Montgomery County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) assists educational institutions, health care organizations, manufacturing firms and nonprofit organizations. The IDA commits itself to building and sustaining opportunities for business growth and employment in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
Essentially, the IDA operates by borrowing funds from private financing institutions, loaning funds to Montgomery County companies to finance projects, and securing below-market interest rates on lender tax-exempt loans.
